SAN JOSE, Calif.—June
14, 2005—InnoPath
Software, Inc. (formerly DoOnGo Technologies),
a leader in over-the-air (OTA) mobile
device management, today announced
it has joined IBM’s PartnerWorld
Industry Networks for Telecommunications
to deliver targeted mobile solutions.
Working with IBM, InnoPath will integrate
its end-to-end device management
solution, DeltaUpgrade Plus™,
onto the IBM WebSphere platform.
Wireless operators and handset manufacturers
worldwide will benefit from the combination
of the companies’ industry-leading
device management and application integration
middleware to develop and deliver firmware
over-the-air (FOTA) update capabilities.
The two companies plan to co-sell and
co-market the solution to wireless
operators and handset manufacturers
worldwide.
InnoPath’s DeltaUpgrade Plus
device management solution keeps handset
firmware current and functional by
making it easy for wireless operators
and handset manufacturers to update
handsets whether they are in the factory,
retail store, or the hands of subscribers.
DeltaUpgrade Plus is a complete, end-to-end
solution for firmware and software
management, providing the flexibility
to manage updates over-the-air, via
direct cable connection, or on removable
memory cards.
InnoPath’s device management
solution lets operators and handset
manufacturers reduce risk, accelerate
time to market for new products and
services, increase customer satisfaction
and retention, lower operating costs,
and increase revenue — offering
a clear service differentiation. InnoPath
not only gives wireless operators and
handset manufacturers the ability to
update and securely repair on-device
firmware OTA, but also enables them
to remotely configure settings, diagnose
and repair handsets. With InnoPath’s
device lifecycle management capabilities,
operators and handset manufacturers
can increase revenue and customer use
of advanced data services, as well
as reduce the cost of deploying these
services.
By providing a complete, end-to-end
solution, InnoPath’s device management
solution offers a complete firmware
update and device lifecycle management
system to complement IBM’s software.
Using industry standard protocols,
InnoPath’s DeltaUpgrade Plus
solution is an OMA (Open Mobile Alliance)
compliant solution for firmware updates.
